2. COMMITMENT TO ADDRESS ETHICAL ISSUES
We actively seek opportunities to work together with external organisations to achieve shared objectives. However it is vital that we maintain our independence and do not allow external partnerships to bring the name of MetroFlags.com into disrepute.
MetroFlags.com therefore seeks, so far as is practical and within the constraints of US law;
initiatives that do not compromise the independent status of MetroFlags.com to ensure that the activities of organizations we work with are consistent with our organizational values.
This policy has been devised to ensure clarity and openness to all our stakeholders. It is designed to address sponsorship. We welcome comments, criticism and suggestions as to how these goals can be met.
3. AVOIDANCE CRITERIA
Partnerships with companies involved in any of the following activities will be avoided:
a. nuclear weapons systems manufacture
b. companies generating revenue from the sale of pornography
4. CAUSE RELATED MARKETING, AFFINITY MARKETING AND PRODUCT ENDORSEMENTS
MetroFlags.com does not endorse or approve products or companies, and a statement to this effect will be included alongside any branding or promotion associated with products.
MetroFlags.com will not promote any products unless published research has shown direct benefit to our beneficiaries. Only MetroFlags.com and its subsidiaries will have direct access to our databases.
MetroFlags.com believes that benefits to both partners can be enhanced if the charity partner has an input into policy issues at the commercial organization. To this end, for substantial partnerships of more than 12 months duration, MetroFlags.com will seek to establish a formal process for consultation.
MetroFlags.com will communicate its commitment to this policy to the organization's stakeholders.
